Click the button above to download cody-chrome-latest.zip. Unzip it — you'll get a folder called chrome-mv3. Put it somewhere you won't accidentally delete it (e.g., your Desktop or Documents folder).
chrome://extensionsType chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter. (You can't click a link to chrome:// pages — you have to type it.)
In the top-right corner of the Extensions page, toggle on Developer mode. New buttons will appear at the top-left.
Click the Load unpacked button that appeared in the top-left. A file picker will open.
chrome-mv3 folderNavigate to where you unzipped the download and select the chrome-mv3 folder (the folder itself, not its contents). Click Select Folder.
Cody should now appear in your extensions list and in the Chrome toolbar. If you don't see the icon, click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin Cody from the list.
You downloaded the wrong file, or tried to load the zip directly. Make sure you unzipped the download first, then select the resulting chrome-mv3 folder — not the zip file itself.
Click the puzzle-piece icon (⚖) in Chrome's toolbar, find Cody in the list, and click the pin icon to pin it.
Developer-mode extensions can be temporarily disabled by Chrome after a restart if your Chrome is managed by an organisation. Re-enable Developer Mode on chrome://extensions each time, or ask your IT admin to allow sideloaded extensions.
